MyCntdwn 2 (short for My Countdown) is the follow up application to MyCntdwn. It is a simple application that allows you to set events in the future and then have an easy way to see how long is left before the event gets here. You can use it for events like vacations, holidays, etc.

MyCntdwn 2 improves on MyCntdwn because it allows you to save more than 10 events. It also has a few completely new features. Themes and Push Notifications. Themes provide custom background to event screens. Push Notifications will alert you that an event is ending soon without having to open the application.

MyCntdwn 2 requires iPhone OS 3.0 or greater.

The home screen is easily laid out so that you can see how much time is left until your event.

If you have more than one even entered into MyCntdwn 2, you can switch from event to event by flicking the event to the left or right.

Editing an event is easy. From this screen you can add, delete or update events. Just click on the "Edit" button at the top and you can edit your events.

If you are adding or updating an event you can cancel at anytime to undo any changes that you have made. However, you cannot undo a delete.

The Sync Preferences screen allows you to set various Push Notification options for MyCntdwn 2. This screen also allows you to perform a manual syncronization with the server.

This screen shot shows that events that are close to ending will add a notification icon to the MyCntdwn 2 icon on the iPhone home screen.

MyCntdwn 2's Push Notifications will alert you up to three times before the start of an event. It will notify you two days before, one day before and when the event is starting.

Each of these notification timescan be turned on or off. For example, if you only want to know about events a day before they start, MyCntdwn 2 can do that for you.
